Director Neeraj Sahai has recently received the Hindustan Ratna Award for the film “UP Files”. The film UP Files is a story based on true events which is the story of the current Chief Minister of UP Yogi Adityanath becoming the Chief Minister and the changes that came in the U.P. Its producer is Kuldeep Umrao Singh. Neeraj Sahai is a well-known director. His first film as a director is “Old is Gold” in which actors like Kader Khan, Asrani, Shakti Kapoor have worked. This is a comedy film. Apart from this, Neeraj Sahai has made films like “Simran, Jab Tak Hai Jaan”. His upcoming film “Black Day and Yeh Jeevan Hai” is ready which will be released soon. His other upcoming projects are the film “Rashtriya Rifles, Vali the Messenger” and a web series.

Neeraj Sahai started his career as an assistant director. Neeraj was the assistant director in many films of director Umesh Mehra like “Yaar Gaddar, Sabse Bada Khiladi, Ye Mohabbat Hai, Koi Mere Dil Mein Hai”, Khiladiyon Ke Khiladi, Qila. He considers director Umesh Mehra as his guru. After that he also worked as an assistant director with director Raman Kumar.

Neeraj Sahai says that he had no film background, he made his mark in the film industry with hard work and skill. He said that Mazhar Khan guided him and he came towards direction because direction is such a work in which the director is present directly or indirectly from the beginning to the end of the film, from an artist to other works. His hard work, his thinking is included in everything. He teaches as well as learns.

Neeraj Sahai said that in the present times the audience has become wise, they give more importance to the content and story of the film than the star cast of the film.
