Recent work of a contemporary artist, Dr.Shardool Mishra has displayed in a solo art exhibition at Jehangir art gallery, Kala Ghoda, M.G. Road, Mumbai 400 001 from 2nd to 8th Aug. 2022 between 11 am to 7 pm.  This work is in pen on paper & canvas.

The show have been inaugurated on 2nd August 2022 by Dr. Uttam Pacharne(Ex-Chairman, National Lalit Kala Akademi, Ravindra Bhavan, New Delhi), Mr. Nitin Jadia (Art Consultant  & Art Collector, Mumbai), Mr. Pradip Sarkar(Eminent Artist) in the Presence of many art dignitaries, art lovers and art connoisseurs..

Dr.Shardool Mishra is currently Asst. Professor, Lalit Kala Sansthan, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra. He had his art education upto B.F.A. in fine arts in 2000 followed by M.F.A. in in fine arts in 2002 from Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth, U.P.  He was then awarded Ph. D. in drawing & painting from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra in 2008 after doing research. He participated in UGC sponsored refresher course in fine arts organised by Academic Staff College, DDU, Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur in 2013. He showcased his work in many solo and group art shows in leading art galleries at Agra, New Delhi, Lucknow, Kanpur etc and abroad. He was an active participant in several workshops and art camps in various regions of our country. He was a recipient of many prizes / awards and appreciations from leading art promotional institutions at various cities and regions like Lalit Kala Academy, North Zone, New Delhi, Rotary Club, Meerut, International Indian Art Society, Allahabad, IIT, B.H.U. Varanasi, Swadeshi Mela at Varanasi etc.  His works are in the collection of many leading art collectors in India and abroad.

The present series in pen on paper & canvas   reveals his compositional endeavours on vivid realm of life at several stages/tiers in a typical style. He has an experimental style and a rational approach and the compositions displayed in his various endeavours bear testimony to his inner thoughts and an urge to overcome outwardly perturbations in the thought process prevalent in his subconscious mind. As a result, his multifaceted works in realistic style reveal his impressions of the various happenings around and a pictorial representation of these impressions via the art work using lines and real object images being supported by apt colour tones.
