During our 4 days at LMIFW, we came to be acquainted with this young guy named Abhijai, who would visit our stall every day and was very taken by our bridal exhibit. It was only after multiple conversations that he confided in us that the main reason why he kept coming back was because he was imagining himself in one of the gowns – the Noor gown to be specific. This honest confession from Abhijai sparked a series of conversations between our designers and the rest of the team, who all agreed that we should not let popular beliefs or mindsets influence or change our motivation behind this collection. Zoe and Noor were created in solidarity for the #LGBTQ movement. Through them, we wanted to echo our support for diversity and freedom of expression and being your true self. And what is fashion if not a medium of expression? What Abhijai saw in Noor meant the world to us, because it reinforced our faith in what we had created. And so we decided to let Abhijai live his imagination on the last day of the fashion week! And so it was on Sunday that with the help of our talented interns @mehrkalraaaa and @ashwinbudhraja we pulled off this super fun impromptu shoot with @sassy__potatoes! To us, this was the perfect way to wrap up #LMIFW with the hope that one day #LoveIsLove will be a belief and not a movement! We want to once again thank everyone for all your lovely messages and words of encouragement for the collection, it means a lot to us!
