बॉलीवुड के मशहूर अभिनेता शक्ति कपूर ने अपनी बेटी श्रद्धा कपूर को अपने घर की लेडी सिंघम बताया है। इसके अलावा वे अपनी लाइफ में पत्नी शिवांगी कोल्हापुरे को भी लेडी सिंघम मानते हैं। क्योंकि उनका मानना है कि दोनों बुराई के खिलाफ अवाज उठाती हैं और अच्छाई के साथ खड़ी होती हैं। शक्ति कपूर ने ये बातें खुद कहीं, जब शनिवार को उनकी आने वाली भोजपुरी फिल्म ‘लेडी सिंघम’ का प्रीमियर शो मुंबई में हुआ।
इस दौरान उन्होंने फिल्म को लेकर कहा कि यूं तो मैं भोजपुरी फिल्मों में सिर्फ मेहमान भूमिका में होता था। लेकिन भोजपुरी फ़िल्म ‘लेडी सिंघम’ में लीड किरदार में हूं। फिल्म के निर्देशक दिलीप गुलाटी मेरे परम मित्र हैं। उनके कहने पर मैं इस फिल्म में आया। फिल्म वाकई बेहतरीन है। मुझे विश्वास है कि फिल्म का दूसरा पार्ट भी बनना चाहिए। शक्ति कपूर ने कहा कि यह फिल्म सबों को देखनी चाहिए। खासकर लड़कियां जब इस फिल्म को देखेंगी तो वो भी कहेंगे कि मुझे लेडी सिंघम बनना है।
शक्ति कपूर ने कहा कि आज देश में लड़कियां और महिलाएं जिस तरह से आगे बढ़ रही हैं, उसे देखकर मुझे अच्छा लगता है। उन्होंने फिल्म ‘लेडी सिंघम’ में सिंघम का किरदार निभा रही अभिनेत्री रानी चटर्जी की भी जमकर तारीफ की। कहा – रानी अच्छी डांसर और एक्टर हैं। वे बहुत पारिवारिक हैं। फिल्म के सेट पर तो उनकी माता जी हमें खाना भी खिलाती है। अपने किरदार को लेकर हंसते हुए कहा कि मेरा किरदार शरीफों वाला है, जिसे रानी चटर्जी कंट्रोल करती हैं। फिल्म सही मायने में जबरदस्त है। दर्शकों को मैं कहना चाहूंगा कि वे जरूर फिल्म ‘लेडी सिंघम’ देखें।

BOTEL’s Final Goodbye
IndywoodAfter 15 long years of service, Aries Group’s Safe BOTEL (Backwater operated Tourist Entertainment Launch) has now been handed over to its new owner. BOTEL, a uniquely novel concept, which provided the Kerala’s houseboat industry a new facelift, played a huge role in taking the cruise industry to the next level. Designed and engineered to sail on the sea, BOTEL was the first ever houseboat in Kerala to be made from steel merging the durability of the metal with the aesthetics of traditional houseboat architecture. Aries Group was forced to put the BOTEL on sale as its Captain Shri. James died due to a heart attack this month, quoted the Founder Chairman and Naval Architect, Shri. Sohan Roy.
Though, BOTEL was featured in many television advertisements and movies, it gained international recognition after it appeared in the Hollywood movie, DAM999. Accepting the hospitality of President of Indywood Billionaires Club and President of NRIPA, Shri. Sohan Roy, many international celebrities and Indian billionaires have reportedly enjoyed travelling in BOTEL to admire the picturesque beauty of Alappuzha’s backwater. As part of its social responsibility, even with its 5-star settings, during off-seasons, BOTEL rides were charged at similar rates as that of a normal houseboat for general public.
BOTEL is equipped many unique features. The houseboat is fitted with double bottom, buoyancy chambers, firefighting devices, and lifesaving accessories and two emergency evacuation doors, in case there is an accident. BOTEL also has an efficient garbage management system to store and dispose the food and plastic waste, dual power air conditioners, solar-power attached bedrooms, conference rooms, massage rooms, fire resistant kitchen, water storage tanks etc. BOTEL is the first houseboat to have passed the water stability test. This was conducted and tested by Shri Sohan Roy personally. It was a proud moment for everyone as the houseboat returned safe and well facing the unruly backwaters waters of Alappuzha.
During the Boat Show exhibition organized at Kochi, BOTEL was able to provide a clear guideline on the changes which houseboat industry needs to make in its current designs to the ministers who attended the event. Within 1month, new regulations were devised and a new chapter in the history of houseboats were unfurled. After 15 years of loyal service, the BOTEL is here to stay in the Alappuzha backwaters to witness many such new reforms, but with a different name.

Title “AAGHAZ, the new beginning” of the group exhibition is basically taken from Japanese word SAKURA (the cherry blossom), which is a symbol of new beginnings and a fresh start. The show is embracing a new perspective—a fresh look at the future and all the wonderful possibilities it holds and therefore the gallery is showcasing twelve artists in this group exhibition. Though, few artists have a long association with gallery, most of them are being represented first time. The title itself makes an inner relationship. Now a days, artists are increasingly choosing to represent themselves and sell works as individuals instead of seeking representation by art galleries, its indeed enormous efforts to choose and collect these artists from all over the country in one platform. Each artist is known for his unique technique and style, which is somewhat missing and lacking in the mushrooming emergence of artists in the present time. Technique always involves with a long implication of practical skills and therefore the artists are chosen very much in this concern.
Bhaskara Rao Botcha says “The Tree” has remained constant as part of my oeuvre over the years in my career as a painter, this is because of deep and innate bond with trees that I cherish , which grew along with me in a rural Indian hamlet. Further, Tirupati Rao Addepalli says the painting image is an endeavor to depict the human act of believing in or attempting something whose existence or outcome cannot be known and Srinivasa Rao Potelu makes his point as a painter that he has been working on “Abstract Painting” since 1996 with extravagant fondness to paint metascapes, trying to depict something being unrecognizable to the physical world. One of the most significant artist Chintan Zalavadia’s works represent the sense of humor, satire, narrative and desire of the human relationships and Manish Chavda the other participants of the show has his unique approach to develop his artworks by coating the colour on the canvas surface first and later de-coating colours to reveal the hidden images of his mind. He says “Transitions are so subtle that they are hardly noticed until they are gone. The bronge sculptures of Srinivasa Reddy Bolla resemble oval shaped head which are portrayal of human intellectual and spiritual powers. The heads are significant in his works. He says, the head itself comes from a basic form of egg, which itself signifies creation.
In addition to that Satya Sai Mothadaka says every artist seeks inspiration from surrounding world or seek visual raw material in experience of the world. In country like India, one of the richest sources of inspiration has been and continues to be the repertoire of motifs and symbols collectively defined by the term tradition. Thus most of my works interprets traditional religious iconography and engages with the objects and traditions of Indian mythology. The artist Tejinder Kanda has a very long association with gallery and his rhythmic expressions on canvas captivate the ambiance of life with all its trappings, with people busily engaged in their daily routine and brimming with confidence, Farhad Hussain’s paintings are a mélange of vibrant colours and dwell on the human figure. His works are narrative with each figure interrelated to the other. Though, on a quick glance, one may feel awestruck by their presence, each figure is an integral part of the work. Furthermore, texts, words and scripts from verius langauges are an internal part of Jagmohan Bangani’s art practice. For him the sound take the shape of words, words overlap in language and meaning until it becomes an experience in itself and surcharge of emotions.
Kerala-based contemporary artist, Pradeep Puthoor’s art is dedicated to a fantastical world that is entirely his own. Strange creatures and imaginatively designed buildings and structures, colourful and playful, clutter his canvas. One the other hand Rinku Chauhan experiments with fresh materials every time, to surprise himself with un-introduced character of the medium as well as the form to experiment with materials. Every time he tries to use a material whose character is somewhat new to him.
The new year always brings a festive season to the art scenario in the capital city of the country, especially during the first two months of the year. All galleries become very much active to curate and exhibit their artists. India Art Fair could be a possible reason as most artists, art galleries and art conousiers trevel to Delhi for visiting the art fair. Although, most galleries are very much close to represent only their artists during this period of time, either in Art Fair or their gallery space, Creativity Art Gallery in this regard is very open to represent these twelve artists all over the country (Uttarakhand to Kerala) with whom most artists are exhbiting first time with gallery.
The director of the gallery Mr. Shekhar Jhamb says that he is very much in willing to pramote the art practices which are not only technically wise but also showing sincerity in their respective areas.

The events and competitions in this edition of Alegriarange from creative competitions, innovative workshops, music and dance, sports and fitness and many fun events. “KABAAD- THE COIN” is the first film ever made on the historic Ram- Siya Coin. The team of “KABAAD- THE COIN” has explored a subject never featured before in Bollywood.
Playing a Ragman (Kabadi) in the film, Vivaan took 90 days to understand & adapt the nuances & play the role to his utmost perfection. Vivaan along with the director Varadraj Swami used to interact with Ragmans to get in the skin of his character. Infact, Vivaaninvited his mother Ratna Pathak on the sets of the film to show her how he is shaping his character. Vivaan also tanned himself to look like the character.
Calling Vivaan a director’s delight, Varadraj Swami said “Acting runes in his blood. He comes from a family of brilliant actors. It is commendable that so early in his career, he is eager to experiment with his roles & choose character that explore his credentials as an actor. He is a director’s delight. His ideology is rare & genius, just like his father”
Producers of the film Meena Negi, Babban Negi & Co-Producers Deepak Prajapat, said“No one has ever made a film on the Ram- Siya Coin. It is lost in the pages of our history. The film explores the human emotions of greed & how it damages relationships & ruins lives”
Known to pick unconventional storylines every time he signs a film, Vivaan Shah says“Trying to play a kabaadiwala was a fascinating process. We have all observed hatgadi pullers on the road in our everyday life, but to truly replicate the nuances, body language and cadences of a Ragman required some focussed study and observation. The way they pull the cart or the calls they send out across the streets in order to sell their wares. It is all very specific and needed to be replicated authentically” further adds “In these, I played a servant boy, a driver, a waiter and a Dalit respectively. I would say Kabaad- The Coin belongs to a similar category where it has a ploretarian hero. I find that more interesting than playing a big city boy or a privileged person. The director Varadraj Swami and the writer Shahzad Ahmed were of invaluable help to me in trying to render true the nuances, speech, and practices of a kabaadiwala. Also what the three of us had fun with was the Bumbaiya language. I’m playing a Maharashtrian character called Bandhan and I just had a blast speaking in Bumbaiya because that is the language I have grown up speaking with my friends on the street. It’s a vernacular I am deeply familiar with and hopefully I have been able to represent it authentically in the film”
“I love both realistic and slightly fantastic cinema. It was an immense challenge to play a character that was outside the realm of my experience and also from different strata of society. I’ve played a working-class character about 4 times now. In 7 Khoon Maaf, Bombay Velvet, Laali ki shaadi mein laddoo Deewana and Coat” says Vivaan Shah.

These poor people sleep close to each other during cold waves, but in such circumstances how can one sleep without a blanket or quilt. They tremble all night due to the cold air and some old people even die due to these bogus, for such people, today we celebrate such a festival every year on the midnight of 26 January Republic Day. Without having to wake them up, put a blanket over them and give them a well packed hot breakfast, bottle of water and an attractive flag.

Known to pick unconventional story lines every time he signs a film, Vivaan Shah says “Trying to play a kabaadiwala was a fascinating process. We have all observed hatgaadi pullers on the road in our everyday life, but to truly replicate the nuances, body language and cadences of a Ragman required some focussed study and observation. The way they pull the cart, or the calls they send out across the streets in order to sell their wares. It is all very specific and needed to be replicated authentically” further adds “In these I played a servant boy, a driver, a waiter and a Dalit respectively. I would say Kabaad- The Coin belongs to a similar category where it has a ploretarian hero. I find that more interesting than playing a big city boy or a privileged person. The director Vardraj Swami and the writer Shahzad Ahmed were of invaluable help to me in trying to render true the nuances, speech, and practices of a kabaadiwala. Also what the three of us had fun with was the Bumbaiya language. I’m playing a Maharashtrian character called Bandhan and I just had a blast speaking in Bumbaiya because that is the language I have grown up speaking with my friends on the street. It’s a vernacular I am deeply familiar with and hopefully I have been able to represent it authentically in the film”

As a result of the ongoing relationship between Heartfulness Institute and Tukdoji Maharaj’s organisation, Shri Kamlesh Patel (Daaji) was invited to join Rashtra Sant Vandaniya Tukdoji Maharaj’s Shraddhanjali annual event at Gurukunj near Amaravati, Maharashtra state, where more than 150,000 followers of Shri Tukdoji Maharaj gathered participating in various programs in his memory.
Reporters from Lokmat interviewed Daaji about spirituality and the Heartfulness Way, in which he said:
“Meditation is a technique to stabilise a fickle mind. The mind first becomes serene, and then it needs to be given a direction. What do we do after the mind has become settled? A student will focus on studies, a business man will focus on making money, but the most worthy utilisation is the Realisation of God, to attain Brahma Vidya. Even Lord Krishna says that meditation is an excellent thing to do. It’s only through meditation that we can excel in every endeavour.”

“Loneliness is the cause of so many problems. People may be married but they still feel lonely. The loneliness epidemic is society’s biggest problem today. When we are going towards God, we don’t face this problem because we see God in everyone. We feel it so there is no need to speak about it. Everyone knows that God is omnipresent, but when this thought becomes reality then something can really happen.” He spoke about meditation, saying:
“People have assumed that the mind is our enemy, but, in fact, there is no friend better than the mind. How can we pray without the mind? How can we be devoted without the mind? How can we make resolutions without the mind? We cannot reach anywhere without making resolutions. Without meditation, resolutions will never yield results.
“Everyone wants happiness. Who wants sorrow? No one. When can we be happy? When the mind becomes contemplative. When can we contemplate? When the mind rests on one thing after making a resolution. It becomes focused. And when can the mind become focused? When it is regulated. And when will it be regulated? When we meditate. Now connect the statements above. Is happiness possible without meditation? In Heartfulness, due to Transmission or pranahuti, meditation becomes very simple. …

As a run up to the London event there was this media interaction the other night in Mumbai at Grand Peninsula hotel attended by former Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs and currently Special Adviser to Prime Minister of India Dr Deepak Vohra, noted music-composer Salim (of Salim-Sulemain fame), celebrity fashion-designer Rohit Verma and Yogesh Lakhani (of Bright outdoor hoardings fame) et al while Dr Gaurav Hans presided over the proceedings.
Dr Vohra cited the emergence of a new renaissance in India spearheaded by the youth of the country.

भारत भाग्य विधाता महात्मा गांधी नोबेल अवार्ड्स के लिए मुंबई में हुई प्रेस कांफ्रेंस में भारत के राजदूत दीपक वोरा, डॉक्टर गौरव हंस, विनय गुप्ता, रोहित वर्मा और योगेश लखानी जैसी हस्तियाँ हुई शरीक, BBMGबीबीएमजी नोबल अवार्ड्स 2020 के आयोजन के लिए मुंबई के पेनिन्सुला ग्रैंड होटल में एक प्रेस कांफ्रेंस का आयोजन किया गया जहाँ कई अहम हस्तियों ने शिरकत की और इस पुरुस्कार समारोह के संदर्भ में डिटेल से जानकारी दी. इस प्रेस कांफ्रेंस में भारत के राजदूत दीपक वोरा, डॉक्टर गौरव हंस, विनय गुप्ता, फैशन डिज़ाइनर रोहित वर्मा, डॉ शिवकुमार उत्तोरे, मिस्टर प्रदीप चदिरमणि – अध्यात्मवादी और हीलर और मिस्टर सुहैल (किंग ऑफ़ फैब्रिक्स इन इंडिया) सहित ब्राईट आउटडोर मीडिया के योगेश लखानी एवं सुफियान वनु ने शिरकत की और मीडियाकर्मी से ढेर सारी बातें कीं.
डॉक्टर गौरव हंस ने यहाँ मीडिया से बात करते हुए बताया कि बीबीएमजी नोबल अवार्ड्स 2020 का आयोजन 23 जनवरी से 26 जनवरी को लंदन पार्लियामेंट में होगा. बीबीएमजी नोबल अवार्ड्स अर्थात भारत भाग्य विधाता महात्मा गांधी नोबेल अवार्ड्स अपने नाम के अनुसार ही बहुत महत्वपूर्ण पुरुस्कार है.
डॉक्टर गौरव हंस ने यहाँ एक सवाल के जवाब में कहा कि इन दिनों हमारे देश में डायबिटीज़ की समस्या बहुत बड़ी है, लगभग हर घर में इस बीमारी के शिकार एक दो लोग मिल जाते हैं. इस अवार्ड के जरिये हम इंडिया की हेल्थ को पूरी दुनिया में बताना चाहते हैं, साथ ही खादी को दुनिया भर में एक्सप्लोर करना चाहते है. वूमेन एंपावरमेंट की फील्ड में भी अहम काम अंजाम देने वालों को इस पुरुस्कार से नवाजा जायेगा. हर फील्ड के इंडिया के चुनिंदा लोगों को अवॉर्ड दिया जायेगा, जिन्होंने अपनी अपनी फील्ड में कुछ उलेखनीय और अलग किस्म का काम किया है। हम इंसानियत के लिए काम करने वाले डॉक्टर्स को भी अवॉर्ड देंगे। इस तरह देखा जाए तो एजुकेशन, फिल्म इंडस्ट्री, हेल्थ सेक्टर, फैशन जगत और महिला सशक्तिकरण के क्षेत्र में काम करने वालों को इस पुरुस्कार से समानित किया जायेगा.
इस पुरुस्कार समारोह के आयोजन हेतु रखी गई प्रेस कांफ्रेंस में निहारिका दलाल जैसे कई मेहमान भी मौजूद थे जिन्होंने इस स्पेशल इवेंट में शिरकत की.
ब्राईट आउटडोर मीडिया के योगेश लखानी ने यहाँ बताया कि बीबीएमजी नोबल अवार्ड्स 2020 से जुड़ना उनके लिए गर्व की बात है क्योंकि इस अवार्ड के नाम में ही भारत और महात्मा गांधी का नाम जुड़ा हुआ है इसलिए मुझे उम्मीद नहीं बल्कि यकीन है कि यह अवार्ड फंक्शन अपने आप में एक मिसाल साबित होगा.
आपको बता दें कि इसका आयोजन स्वाभिमान इंडिया फाउंडेशन के द्वारा लन्दन में किया जा रहा है.
लंदन में होने जा रहे इस तीन दिनों के भव्य प्रोग्राम को मैनेज करने वाली कम्पनी ट्राइडेंट एक्सक्लूसिव लाईफ स्टाइल ऐंड मीडिया लिमिटेड के डायरेक्टर शिव काक्रन का कहना है कि “हम इस प्रतिष्ठित इवेंट से जुड़कर बहुत गौरवान्वित महसूस कर रहे हैं।”
डॉक्टर गौरव हंस ने यहाँ मीडिया से रूबरू होते हुए कहा कि मैं इस प्रेस कांफ्रेंस में रुबीना रिजवी का नाम अवश्य लेना चाहूँगा. उन्होंने खादी की अहमियत पर जोर देते हुए कहा कि कुछ लोग खादी को रिवाइव करने पर काम कर रहे हैं, क्योंकि खादी कहीं खो सी गई है. हम आज वेस्टर्न कपडे पहनने लगे हैं हालाँकि वैसे कपडे पहनने से लोगों को खुजली की शिकायत भी होती है इसलिए हम सब चाहते हैं कि खादी को लोग एक बार फिर पहनना शुरू कर दें.

Breaking NewsThe junior changemaker program is an initiative launched by letsallhelp.org for the children by the children. At letsallhelp.org, we are on a mission to end hunger and spread good health & hygiene among the underprivileged section of India. On our journey to achieve this goal, we saw huge enthusiasm from kids and youth in schools, colleges and universities to do something to help empower underprivileged kids and give them a better future. This enthusiasm inspired us to create a program for the youth to make a meaningful change in the lives of the underserved.
As Junior Changemakers, kids and youth pledge to help 10 to 100 underprivileged kids with a kit of monthly food and personal hygiene supplies. Through their initiative page on letsallhelp.org, they reach out and empower family, friends and good samaritans to support their cause and drive donations.
Youth with an access email and social media accounts can sign up themselves or parents can sign-up their child as a Junior Changemaker. 100% of donations contributed towards each Junior Changemaker’s initiative go to the chosen beneficiary.

Ravi Singh launched the Raviz Group of Indian Restaurants in Auckland, New Zealand in the year 2000. “Initially the journey was difficult, it felt as if at almost every turn there were obstacles and the universe just wasn’t working our way, this is where my values of self-control and honesty played a big role in moving ahead, but gradually the group grew to 12 restaurants,” Ravi mentioned.

With the RAVIZ outlets growing, Ravi Singh and Kiran Singh opened boutique hotels in both New Zealand and India which flourished with tourists and local visitors. “After a good long 20 years run in New Zealand, we decided to go back to our roots with everything we had learnt internationally and start up again in the city of dreams, Mumbai,” adds Ravi Singh who credits most of the group’s success to his business-cum-life partner. The old adage needs to be altered – There is always a female ‘walking alongside and leading the successful male’.
Girish Wankhede of Entity One Entertainment Solutions, the marketing consultants to CIRCUS CIRCUS mentioned, “This is an innovative eatery offering Malaysian, Chinese and North Indian cuisine which is the USP of Ravi Singh’s swanky eatery. This is what sets them apart.”
Ravi Singh plans to set up the second CIRCUS CIRCUS eatery in South Mumbai very soon.

I was intrigued by her deft handling of themes as well as her use of materials. I could see that her chosen subjects are birds and animals—evoked in their different moods and forms. Some are playful and feisty, while others are foreboding and mysterious”, Said Naavnidhi.
Usually we see birds as light and joyful beings of mellow temper, and associate them with a celebration of hope, or the freedom of flight. Some pets and other animals, even in their wild state, may amuse us. In Tabassum’s art, however, they acquired a somewhat different appearance and significance. Their corporeal state, at times, seems overloaded, burdensome, broken and even tortured. Tabassum brings out the emotional intensity of her themes in coarse, straw-like lines.
She finely delves into the warp and weft of their pain, fear, the occasional joy and more frequent bleakness. One may also be reminded of certain issues of our troubled times—relating to environment and violence. The red blotches at places represent corpuscles strewn here and there. Her circumscription of the images, assimilating various moods, is most arresting.
The wound-inflicting fangs and claws, and preys erratically moving away, are a reminiscent of the constant struggle for survival. The pony’s wings are not yet fully articulated, but the pressure bows it down.Various creatures and critters have been set adrift—with pulsating, euphoric energy, yet a strange wave of stillness covers them.
To view these images offered in black and white, and in colours as well, is to find oneself pausing and pondering over the fabric and patterns of existence itself.
The way Tabassum creates and recreates her visual vocabulary, is a treat to watch. Even the ruins in her works are enlivening. To treat life in its multiple dimensions and aspects is always a challenging task in literature and arts, and it is most heartening to see Tabassum taking up this challenge with verve.
